Greetings from a slightly disorientated newbie
Hello y'all...
I've not used a forum in about 5 years but I saw this one in the facebook group.
I'm twenty, studying literature and working in the library. As for hobbies - I cross stitch, listen to riotgrrrl, as much live music as I can. I have a boyfriend who I've been with for nearly four years - I don't recall experiencing any significant attraction for anyone else but I think these are too shakey grounds to find a definition, but I'm happy enough as things stand. I'd just like to learn a bit more...
Thanks & nice to meet you.

Thank you so much for joining us! If there is anything the community really needs, it's for people to get curious enough to participate and try to learn about the community and what life can be like for its members.
Welcome to the DG; I hope you have a lovely time here. It's delightful to meet you.

That's good to know Thanks...
I always try to make sure this side of sexuality (or absence thereof) is represented whenever I hear it coming up in discussion or LGBT groups and so on... For that reason I need to ensure I'm properly informed! There seems a sad presence of ignorance and hostility, hopefully that can be overcome.
Thanks again

Cross-stitch! Oh man. Do you design your own patterns, use pre-made kits, stitch on non-specialized cloth (it is so hard to keep the sizing right)? I love cross-stitching.
Libraries, also cool. And a general welcome to you as well!

I do my own designs - partially because I'm a cheapskate and also since I like to make unique little gifts & personal things for friends. Sewing the periodic table for my aforementioned other half recently I'm glad to find a fellow craftspersyn! As for the non-patterened cloth, I've found dissolvable cross-stitch fabric to go over the top or waste canvas is really good for that...
Hopefully I'll get properly qualified as a librarian (or archivist, not sure yet) and persue that as my career... What do you do epochryphal?

Excellent - I love plotting things on graph paper, it's a lot of fun for me. The periodic table sounds rad! And ooo, dissolvable fabric, good plan.
Haha, I don't do anything as of yet really - I've just graduated undergrad, and am contemplating options. I'm considering the mental health field, or editing. Or math tutoring. *shrug*
