Another newbie

To start off, I'm horrible with introductions. I never really have too much to say, but seeing as we're all kind of new here, I'll try my best.

I'm currently an African-American high school senior hoping to get into Acadia University in Nova Scotia in the next coming years. But for now, I currently reside in Alexandria, Virginia. Hopefully if I get into Acadia (fingers crossed) I'll manage to major in cognitive neuroscience and possibly minor in Piano performance. As for gender, I just consider myself female.

Sexuality was always something that was hard for me to figure out. Ever since the beginnings of high school, I'd always want a boyfriend, but the thought of sex never appealed to me. That's actually when I first found the term asexuality which stuck with me for a pretty long time. That is, until I got my first "real" partner. He managed to change a lot of what I had previously thought about myself, and maybe we can attribute that to me being young and ignorant, but I feel that the term heteroromantic demisexual really fits the bill with me right now. (Though I do question the heteroromantic part as I have had slight crushes on females that got me on a strange emotional level...so I guess I'm still figuring that out)

My Enneagram type is 4w5, but I question that as well because sometimes I see myself with more of a 3 wing and my MBTI is INFP. I love anime, reading, and piano and I am fairly awkward, but I hope to make some like minded friends here! I'm really grateful for communities like these and I cant wait to see more people posting.

My favourite person in the whole world happens to be an INFP, so I'm a bit predisposed to like the type in a general way, heh. I'm the piano instructor at our university campus, and I've played piano for most of my life, along with clarinet and violin. It's fantastic to see another keyboard musician on our forum! Maybe, if you like, at some point I'll add a music-specific subforum for discussions about instrumental music and such.
