User Issues

Having trouble logging in, viewing, chatting, or whatever-the-hay? Let us know here, please.

Dunno if anyone else is experiencing this, but I'm finding that if I visit but don't manage to read all the new posts that are highlighted, the next time I come back, they're not highlighted anymore... so I don't know which threads to click on. =/

Hmn... not an issue I've experienced, but to be fair, I spend vastly more time on here than most members, and I read most posts within minutes of them being written.

If you click "view posts since last visit", which is below the header on the left, it should bring up a full list of every thread that has updated since your last login.

It doesn't though. It's just blank, saying that there were no new posts, even though I haven't read the posts yet. It seems to want to count them as being read just because I saw them highlighted the previous visit.

That is kind of how these message boards work. There's not really a way around it on this software.

I didn't realize it was something that normally happened because it doesn't occur very often on AVEN, and I haven't been on another forum in aaaages. =P

I realize this is probably a stupid question, but how do you get emojis to show up on here? Like the previous questioner, I'm used to AVEN and I'm having trouble figuring this out.

In the Post Reply / Quick Reply menu, there is a drop-down menu with an emoji as its icon. Click that and select from the options given.
