I'm new to this

I am a new discovered demisexual of the hetero verity. I literally just learned this term a few days ago when my GSA president posted it on her tumblr account. When I read it I a moment of clarity and went 'Wow that fits me'. I have been for years trying to figure out what was 'wrong' with me since when ever I was asked who I thought was hot or who I would sleep if I could, no one would ever come to mind. I've know for years that I just don't see attractive people, I just see people.

Ever now and again I would entertain the thought that I could be asexual but I have had a few crushes on some of my best male friends which included a desire for the physical side of the relationship as well. I haven't really told anyone that I am demi but that is just due to it being a really random topic to bring up, otherwise I have no worries about any reactions. I am lucky enough to know that I will have supporters when I get around to telling people as my friends and family are very open minded with sexualities and I'll have my GSA club who don't care how anyone identifies sexually or gender-wise.

I just started today, but I can relate to you about being asked who I find attractive in particular, and with nobody coming to mind. I even had that same feeling where I thought there was something "wrong" with me.. However, it is great I realized I'm a demisexual since last 4th of July. Belated welcome, just came here to say hello.
